You don't choose a coach. Once your session is booked, we select an appropriate coach and confirm them with you by email.

Locarno

Tennis coach in Locarno

Locarno sits at 196 metres, the lowest elevation in the country, and records more sunshine hours than anywhere else in Switzerland. Combined with Lake Maggiore that produces genuinely southern conditions: palm trees, warm water into October, and outdoor sessions comfortable in months when Zurich is frozen.

The Verzasca and Maggia valleys behind the town give sharp, dramatic terrain within twenty minutes — good for climbing and for hill work, and completely different in character from the lakeside.

What a session includes

Your coach brings balls and any training equipment. Court booking is arranged as part of the session where a court fee applies. If you are a member somewhere and would rather play there, tell us when you book and we will match you with a coach who can meet you at your club.

Who books private lessons

Three groups, mostly. Club players wanting to fix something specific — usually a second serve, or a backhand that breaks down under pressure. Adults returning after years away, who want to enjoy an hour without being put through a junior drill. And parents booking for a teenager who has outgrown group coaching but is not ready for a full competitive programme.

Common questions

How do I know who my coach will be?

We select a coach after you book, based on what you want to work on, where you are and when you are playing. You will get their name and your meeting point by email once they have confirmed, usually within a day.

What if the weather is bad?

Your coach will contact you if conditions make the session unsafe or pointless, and we will move it to another date at no cost. Light rain on clay is usually fine; a storm is not.

Do I need my own racket?

Bring your own if you have one — you will get more from a session with a racket you are used to. If you are starting out or visiting, say so when you book and your coach will bring one.

Can I book for my child?

Yes. Book in your own name and tell us the age and level in the notes, and we will arrange a coach who works with that age group. A parent or guardian needs to be present for under-16s.
