Private cross-country ski lessons in Switzerland
Book a cross-country ski lesson with an instructor we arrange for you. Classic or skating technique.
Classic or skating, and they are not the same sport
Classic is the one most people picture: tracks, a gliding stride, relatively gentle. Skating is faster, considerably more demanding and closer to ice skating than to walking. Most beginners should start classic; most people who found cross-country dull were put straight onto skating skis by somebody who should have known better.
Why an hour of technique matters more here
Cross-country punishes bad technique immediately and exhaustingly. Efficient skiers glide; inefficient ones fight. The difference is almost entirely learnable, and it is the difference between a pleasant morning and a miserable one.
