St. Moritz
Ski instructor in St. Moritz
St. Moritz sits at 1,800 metres in the Engadin, a high valley with a dry, bright climate that is closer to the Alps' southern side than to the rest of Switzerland. It averages over 300 sunny days a year, and the light at that altitude in February is the reason people keep coming back.
It is the birthplace of alpine winter tourism and it shows: the cross-country network across the frozen lake is among the best in Europe, and the resort supports everything from gentle to serious. Summer brings hiking, riding and one of the highest golf courses in the Alps.
Why private beats group
A group lesson moves at the speed of its slowest member and spends half the morning waiting at the bottom of a lift. A private day is yours: if your problem is one thing — steeps, moguls, a stubborn inside ski — that is what the day is about. Most people who switch never go back.
Lift passes and equipment
Your lift pass is not included and you arrange it yourself, since most people already have one or a season pass. Bring your own skis if you have them. If you need rental, say so when you book and your instructor will point you at the right shop rather than the nearest one.

Common questions
What level do I need to be?
Any. Complete beginners are a normal booking, and so are strong skiers who want to move off-piste safely. Tell us honestly where you are in the notes — it is the single most useful thing you can write there.
Can my children and I share a lesson?
Yes, if you ski at broadly similar levels. If the gap is large, two separate lessons work far better than one compromised one.
What about off-piste?
Off-piste and touring are available with instructors qualified for it, and depend on conditions on the day. Say so when you book so we match you correctly — it is not something to decide on the chairlift.
